Posthumous child entitled to pension.

(4) Posthumous child entitled to pension. - A doubt arose whether a posthumous child is covered by the term `surviving kindred' in the application form for family extraordinary pension and whether or not such a child would be entitled to pension and other pensionary benefits admissible under the various pension rules. It was held in consultation with the Ministry of Law that the term `child' includes a posthumous child of the Government servant. [G.I., M.F., U.O., No. 9614-E. V/66, dated the 2nd January, 1967.]
