VIOLATION OF RIGHT TO LIFE OF PERMANENT DISABLED PERSON I am writing
to bring to your attention a matter of utmost importance regarding the
provision of DIGITAL ARTIFICIAL HANDS (ADVANCE PROSTHESIS) to
BAIDNATH HARIJAN, in compliance with the directive issued by the
Department of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with
Disabilities, as per Letter No. 5497/SSEPD dated 21.06.2023. He identified
as 97% permanently disabled (Disable Certificate No.
OD2910619960206519 issued by Koraput CDMO). However, to our dismay,
he has been provided with PLASTIC ARTIFICIAL HANDS, which,
unfortunately, do not serve the intended purpose. This discrepancy
raises serious concerns about the well-being & quality of life of
BAIDNATH, who is entitled to receive the appropriate prosthetic aid
according to the established guidelines. The provision of Digital Artificial
Hands is a critical factor in enhancing the daily functioning &
independence of the individual. Take necessary actions at the earliest.
