Supreme Court extends retired soldier's disability pension claim by 10 years, refers to Army pension rules
The Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of the disability pension claim of a retired soldier, who served in the Indian Army for 15 years and was discharged in 1987 after suffering a heart problem. The court said that as per the opinion of the medical board, there was no negligence on the part of the man and his records were exemplary. The only factor against him was that he had expressed reluctance to undergo surgery.
