 "To avoid vexatious and unnecessary prosecution either by quashing an FIR/complaint or by allowing an appeal against the order rejecting discharge or by terminating the criminal proceedings through any other legally acceptable route  Protection from being dragged into litigation may, in appropriate circumstances, be a duty upon the High Courts."
