Merely because a person is poor, having neither property, nor money, nor job, it cannot be said that he is ineligible to stand as surety.  When the accused executes the bail bond, when the surety executes the bail bond, the court cannot insist on the production of property documents, the surety is not required to be a government servant or a blood relative or a local surety.....

 He may be a tenant or a licensee.  A beggar can also stand as surety, provided he has acceptable residential proof.  The surety must have a physical address.  They may be asked to submit residential proof.  He should not be a stray.  They should establish their identity.  Even a poor man can become a voter.  Similarly, a poor person can also be a surety.  The surety can be a person who does not own his own home.  He may be a tenant.  Even a person living on the platform or living in a slum can become a surety by providing acceptable address proof...
