In matter relating to NI ACT, 1881 the Hon'ble Kerela High Court reiterated that statutory fine under Section 138 of NI Act is twice the amount of cheque, this should include interest as well. The courts can not pass a blanket order to pay interest, if the amount/fine exceeds twice the cheque amount.
