Sir,
My whatsapp account was attacked by some organized gang of cyber criminals .
From July 2 to July 17, I used to get many messages saying Your Whatsapp account is being registered on a new device, multiple times a day
I duly informed Whatsapp Support and requested provide me the IMEI number and IP Address of attackers or inform me what to do to prevent these attacks.
First Whatsapp suspended my account claiming spam, while I am sure, I did not send any spam . When I again requested them to provide me evidence of attacks, Whatsapp permanently banned my account
As you know, I am currently in Saudi Arabia and as whatsapp claim, some attackers managed to hack my account and managed to send spam, that could result in big criminal issues.
I like to draw your attention to recent order of karnataka high court, warning facebook to close their operations in India, if they fail to provide evidence related to a hacking incident, which led to an an indian citizen facing court cases and languishing in Jail. Karnataka HC threatens to close down Facebook in India; here’s why | Mint #AskBetterQuestions (livemint.com)
but for reasons known only to Whatsapp , Whatsapp has terminated my account, without providing evidence regarding the criminals and without providing the details of violation, Whatsapp claim, that I have committed.
This action of Whatsapp is an abetment of crime. If Whatsapp have destroyed the evidence, that should be dealt with as per law.
Since majority of parties involved in this are strongly suspected to be Indian nationals, I will be prosecuting them and Whatsapp for the crimes committed either by attacking me or abetting the attackers.
If WhatsApp does not provide the evidence within 7 days, I will be approaching appropriate authorities in India.
Please serve this notice to appropriate authorities in Whatsapp, Meta company.
