Subject: Request for Information under the Right to Information Act, 2005
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 to seek information
regarding the following matters related to banking disputes and investigations. Kindly provide the necessary
information along with supporting documents.
1- How can I identify the disputed transactions in my bank account when it is frozen?
2- What should I do if the bank provided a letter to contact the investigating officer, but there has been no
response?
3- What should I do if the bank is not providing any information related to the dispute? (Not even providing which
transaction is the reason for debit freeze)
4- How can I resolve the issue of language barriers when the bank asks me to contact police officers in other states?
5- What steps should I take if the investigating officer does not respond to my email regarding the transaction
details?
6-The bank provided the contact number of the investigating officers in their letter, but the investigating officers did
not respond {Some investigating officers are even blocking the number without any reason}. How can I unfreeze my
account if the investigating officers do not even care to hear my side?
7-Why are banks imposing a complete freeze when there is only CRPC91 charged?
8-Are there any legal issues in our country regarding the selling of digital assets?
9-Why would the SIM card and PAN card of an account holder be blocked?
10-Why are Cybercrime officers putting disputes on transactions that aren't related to the case they are
investigating?
11-lf I paid Indian rupees to someone for buying virtual digital assets to trade, then I lost all the assets. Is it possible
to raise a complaint through the portal to refund the rupees I paid?
12-Are there any limitations in our country regarding money transfers within a friend circle?
13-Why does the investigating officer ask for the disputed money to be returned to the petitioner if I'm not even
remotely involved in the case? And what is the legal ground for an investigating officer to demand the disputed
amount to return to the petitioner?
14-Why aren't any actions taken against the primary account holder's assets or family assets?
15-lf an investigating officer asks for more than the dispute amount, what should I do?
16-How can individuals, particularly women and elderly people, reach different states to visit the police station as
instructed by the investigating officer without involving cybercrime?
17-Does the NCCRP provide any assurance or measures to ensure the safety of individuals when visiting different
states for resolving disputes?
18-What kind of evidence or proof is accepted by the NCCRP regarding the digital asset selling behind a
transaction?
19-Why would the bank freeze an amount greater than the disputed amount in a transaction?
20-How can I clarify to the investigating officer that personal and family transactions do not have any proof of
transactions?
21-Why is the investigating officer asking about the friend and family transactions of the account holder before the
dispute occurred?
22-ls it considered cybercrime or cheating if the petitioner willingly transfers money multiple times for gambling
purposes?
23-How can someone determine if the petitioner provided access to their account to scammers, especially when the
blocking of online transactions occurs for more than one day?
24-Why does the NCRP accept WhatsApp, chat, and Telegram chat records from the petitioner but not accept?
25-What actions can be taken when a petitioner purchases a digital asset and then disputes the bank transaction
with the NCRP?
26-How can the authenticity and validity of the petitioner's claim be assessed when they buy a digital asset and
subsequently dispute the bank transaction?
27-Are there any specific guidelines or procedures in place for handling cases where a petitioner disputes a bank
transaction after purchasing a digital asset?
28- on this date I discovered that my bank account was frozen due to a disputed transaction that I was not aware
of or involved in. I would like to know the specific details of the disputed transaction and the reason behind freezing
my account.
29- As I am not involved in any cybercrime activities, I would like to understand the legal grounds for freezing my
account and whether it is necessary for me to seek bailor any other legal recourse in this situation.
30- What steps should I take to unfreeze my bank account and resolve the dispute? I request information on the
process and necessary documentation, if any, that needs to be submitted to the bank or investigating authorities.
31-Are there any provisions or guidelines in place to protect innocent individuals who have had their bank accounts
frozen due to disputed transactions they are not involved in? I seek clarification on the safeguards and procedures
available to ensure fairness and justice in such cases.
32- In cases where individuals are wrongly accused of cybercrimes and their bank accounts are frozen, what actions
can be taken to rectify the situation and clear their names? I request information on the appropriate legal channels
and authorities to approach in such circumstances.
