Non functioning of Karnataka State Human Rights Commission challenged by way of Public Interest Litigation.

The Hon'ble  High Court of Karnataka Division Bench headed by  Honble  Chief Justice  and  the Hon'ble justice M S Kamal  ,   issued notice to the state government     in Public Interest Litigation petition  filed  by  Advocate Sudha Katwa , over    non functioning of the Karnataka  State Human Right Commission since Feb 2023 . The post of Charimand and two Members  of the KSHRC are vacant since Feb 2023 and the Government has not yet initiated any appointment process till date resulting in grave injustice to the Victims of Human Rights Violations.  
 The Honble High Court   issued notice to the State Government and also the Secretary of Human Rights Commission with a direction to list the matter after two weeks.
