3. What is the mode of appointment of the Central Vigilance Commissioner and other Vigilance Commissioners? The Central Vigilance Commissioner and the Vigilance Commissioners are appointed by the President by warrant under his hand and seal based on the recommendations of a committee comprising the following: (a) the Prime Minister — Chairperson; (b) the Minister of Home Affairs --- Member; (c) the Leader of the Opposition in the House of the People — Member for a term of four years from the date on which they enter upon their offices or till they attain the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
